What could be more glamorous and fun than to celebrate today ~ it’s National Whipped Cream Day! Call it Chantilly cream or creme Chantilly, milk snow, or snow cream.
Add a little extra something special to desserts to celebrate on January 5 for National Whipped Cream Day. Not only does it add creaminess and a bit of pizzaz, but it also makes the difference between the ho-hum or a celebration kind of beverage or dessert.
Here are a few delicious drink recipes to toast this glamorous day.
This holiday falls on Reddi-Wip founder Aaron “Bunny” Lapin’s birthday (January 5, 1914 – July 10, 1999). Lapin invented Reddi-Wip in 1948, and the holiday celebrates whipped cream’s contributions to the dessert world.
The country has observed the day since at least 1984 according to an article published in The Philadelphia Inquirer on December 30th of that year written by Susan Dundon.
Here is a recipe I created for a couple’s wedding that is so fitting for National Whipped Cream Day because it uses whipped cream vodka 😀 Pinnacle vodka is a good one to use.
