New Design Added: Artful Cocktail Napkins to Posh-Up Your Holiday Gift Giving & Happy Hour ~ Plus Recipe!

The Ladies Who Lunch Conversations Cocktail Napkin Collection has a new addition ~ and it’s just so perfect for the Holidays. All bubbly and pink..

Here’s how you can posh up your own bar cart, barscape, Stocking Stuffers or Hostess gift with a truly artful, unique design, that also has a story you can toast to for your smashingly, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Happy Hours!

And for the Cocktail Curious, this is the best part: It truly is the gift that keeps on giving…

Just as the special, inspiring guests from my videocast inspire us, at the same time, I was inspired to create a watercolor cocktail art as an homage to these role models and true “she-roes.”

As the author of Art of the Garnish, I found myself curious as to what my guests’ favorite cocktail is.

As I write in my pretty (and fabulous!) Garnish book, some folks have a signature cocktail and others drink with the seasons (my vote) and still others change it up for the time of day or their mood.

I think cocktail choices can tell us something about the person.

After all, what is James Bond without that certain martini?  Or the Vesper in Casino Royale? Or Marilyn Monroe without her Bullshot?  Or the Big Lebowski without the White Russian.

You get the idea.

So Fun.

The French 75 was named as her favorite by the award-winning interior designer, Toni Sabatino, who was my first guest back in February of 2021.

It joins “Megan’s Manhattan” inspired by New York City Ballet’s Megan Fairchild.

And like I said, the best part is that the Ladies’ favorite charity or cause is the recipient of the lion’s share of the sales.

Let’s toast to that.

Please visit the Garden Glamour Shop for full details on the napkins and the story behind each of these one-of-a-kind cocktail designs.

Here also you can purchase.

Before you hop on over to the Shop, here’s your bonus: the French 75 recipe as I make it.

French 75

A classic French 75 is made with Gin, Champagne, simple syrup, lemon, and garnish.  In the colder months, I substitute cognac for the gin.  Your call.

  • Make a rose-based simple syrup. Use equal amounts of sugar and water. Add both to a saucepan over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.  Add in dried rose petals. You can use your own (pesticide free) or you can order or purchase from vendors.

Extra benefit: Rose petals contain polyphenols, antioxidants that work to protect your body from cell damage. The polyphenols in rose tea have been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and cognitive diseases.

Ingredients:

For two: (xoxo)

  • 2 jiggers ~ approximately 3 ounces gin or cognac

  • 2 ounces fresh-squeezed lemon juice (or a really good store bought lemon juice – not sugary lemonade)

  • 1 jigger ~ or approximately 1 ounce of the rose petal simple syrup. (to taste)

  • Ice

  • Sparkling wine: Champagne, Cava, or Prosecco

Method:

Combine all ingredients except for the sparkling wine into a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously until well blended and cold.  Strain the mixture into chilled coupe or champagne flutes.

Top with chilled sparkling wine.

Garnish:

Place a lemon twist on the glass rim and sprinkle a few rose petals into the glass.

So pretty and so festive!

Cheers to a glamorous, cocktail creation and its artful companion ~ a great way to bring character and style to your personal Cocktail Culture.

Thank you.
