It’s natural that I would be drawn to the healing message of a Death Doula.
It’s about transforming how we manage and embrace the wonder of what we can’t ignore: dying. It’s about making it personal, telling your story and that of your loved ones. As my mentor and teacher, Alua Arthur writes, “... death is a part of cherishing who we are, including our own mortality. ‘Hold that truth and wondrous things will begin to grow around you.’”
Just like a good garden, we need to nourish, grow, and care for this essential part of life.
